Soil water content parameters can be used to study irrigation time, irrigation volume, depth of water infiltration, root water uptake and soil moisture movement and time. Soil moisture determines the transport and storage of dissolved nutrients or contaminants and the water use efficiency of the plant. The SD6930B-MOSI calculates the soil water content by measuring the dielectric constant of the soil. It is the only sensor in the soil salinity and temperature effects of a relatively low one, and very little power consumption.
